Privacy policy
Your information, handled with care.
Last updated October 20, 2026
StraightShot Overhead (“we”, “us”) repairs and services residential garage doors in Tyler, Texas and surrounding areas. This policy explains, in plain words, what information our website collects, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you request an appointment
Our booking form asks for your name, mobile number, email, service address, how you’d like us to contact you, your preferred day and arrival window, and anything you choose to tell us about your door. If you arrived from one of our ads, we also note which ad or campaign brought you (for example “facebook”), so we know which ads are useful.
The website passes your request straight to our scheduling system and our job software so we can confirm the visit and do the work. The website itself does not keep a copy.
When you call or text us
We receive your phone number and whatever you tell us, the same as any phone call or text.
When you chat with StraightShot, our AI assistant
The questions you type are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to write an answer. Please leave out personal details like your name, address or phone number. We do not store what you type. We keep only short technical notes about each conversation (for example, which answer route was used) for up to 30 days, and general topic labels that help us improve our answers.
Cookies and similar technology
Our ad landing pages (such as our free tune-up page) may use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies to tell Meta that someone visited the page, booked, or tapped to call or text, so we can measure and improve our ads. We do not send your name, phone number, email or address to Meta through the Pixel. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy.
Our other pages do not use advertising cookies. We use one sign-in cookie only for our own staff.
How we use it
- To schedule, confirm and carry out the service you asked for, and to contact you about it.
- To answer your questions.
- To understand which of our ads and pages are helpful.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Who else handles it
A few service providers help us run the business: our website host, our scheduling and job software, our email service for appointment messages, our AI provider for the assistant, and Meta for ad measurement. They handle information only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep appointment and job records as long as we need them to serve you, honor any warranty, and keep normal business and tax records.
Your choices
- Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Some records may need to be kept for legal or warranty reasons.
- Ask us to stop texting you at any time, and we will.
- Limit ad cookies: change your browser’s cookie settings, or update your Facebook ad preferences.
Children
Our services are for adults who own or manage a home. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
